A new agreement between the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales, South Wales Police, and Public Health Wales will commit the three agencies to working more closely together to tackle ill-health and crime. An animated character who achieved a cult following on national TV is set to star in his own film, thanks to his South Wales-based creator. And anyone who invests in the project could appear in it too, as a cartoon version of themselves. In August, Cardiff’s iconic 1980s gay bar ‘The Tunnel Club’ reopened for one night only.  As a younger member of the LGBT* community in Cardiff, it was a valuable opportunity to take a glimpse at the way things were back then and to engage with our collective history.  However, what was particularly striking was the scarcity of women; a state of affairs, which I am reliably informed, was much the same back in the day. In September, footfall numbers in Wales were 0.5% lower than a year ago, up on the 2.4% fall in August 2015.
